This national training curriculum seeks to address the twin problems of unpreparedness and low capacity in women seeking elective offices by focusing on their training. It is premised on the assumption that if a larger number of women candidates professionalize their campaigns, start preparing early and embark on an early mobilization of resources, the number of successful candidates would markedly increase. The curriculum targets current and aspiring political leaders in Kenya, especially women and youth at all levels of governance: Presidential, National Assembly, Senate, County and Ward, as well as individuals, institutions and organizations that engage with politics and political governance.
The objective of the “One UN” is to improve the impact, coherence, efficiency, effectiveness and positioning of the UN system in Kenya to enable it better assist the country to meet the MDGs and Vision 2030. This will be achieved through One Programme, One Budgetary Framework, One Office, One Leader and Communicating as One.
