This study was commissioned to determine the economic burden of gender-based violence (GBV) to survivors in Kenya. This costing study aims to contribute to a deeper understanding among stakeholders including policymakers, political leaders, civil society, communities, and families of the magnitude of the costs and potential costs of GBV in Kenya. The study drew samples from seven counties based on the prevalence of gender-based violence.
The objective of the “One UN” is to improve the impact, coherence, efficiency, effectiveness and positioning of the UN system in Kenya to enable it better assist the country to meet the MDGs and Vision 2030. This will be achieved through One Programme, One Budgetary Framework, One Office, One Leader and Communicating as One.
