Residents of Sofia village, Gatondo sublocation, in Nyandarua county, burned six houses on Monday following the killing of a 30-year-old woman. Tabitha Kamau, a mother of three, was raped and killed a week ago. The burned houses belonged to the family of Mwangi Giteni. Residents said they will eliminate the whole family if the members do not leave the village. They accuse them of being criminals who allegedly “rape and kill with impunity”.
